Who is iotaMotion?

iotaMotion is a startup in healthcare that develops robotic-assisted technology for cochlear implantation to standardize cochlear implant surgery and benefit surgeons and patients.

Case Summary

003

Problem: Surgery has become harder, not smarter

Building on the success of its first-generation robotic device, iotaMotion launched a second-generation device to further automate cochlear implant surgery. This new device is compatible with a wider range of implants, significantly boosting iotaMotion's market potential. However, the increased complexity of setup and operation introduces novelty, cognitive load, and friction to the original process.

This project is still ongoing. Please check my other work.

Spoiler: We’ve improved the flow, interface and the feedback system and will test it with surgeons in mid-December to gather feedback for iteration.
